About the Data
Archived data from the Illinois Climate Network are structured into a comma-delimited format for ease of importation into most spreadsheet applications. Beginning dates vary. Data column headers are defined below.
Average data are calculated from the polling of instrumentation every 10 seconds and averaging over each hour and day. Maximum and minimum data are the single highest and lowest values recorded for the day within each variable. Solar radiation, precipitation, and evaporation represent a daily total of these parameters.
Headers ending with "er" are error flags with the options of "M" for missing data and "E" for estimated data. Where appropriate, missing data were estimated from adjacent station data or interpolated from adjacent times at the same site.
